Resetting the Bluetooth on my Apple Magic Keyboard Wireless A1314. When off, press hold power button

Sorry.. couldn't write how to do it in the title.
To factory reset your 3rd generation imac wireless keyboard.

1. Turn off the keyboard by pressing the power button on the right.
2. Press the power button to turn it on, but hold it (10 sec).
3. While holding it... you should see the green light eventually start flashing. When it starts to flash.. I believe it's been reset for use again to a different bluetooth device.

you are the only one who happened to mention to turn it off, and then press the power button. thank you. it worked! Everyone else just didn't get the fact that if you can't bluetooth connect, then what else can you do???

This keyboard was sitting in my closet, a remnant from an old MacBook. I couldn't remember how to reset it so I could pair it with a Mac Mini. Thanks to Google and YouTube, and you. BTW--It is working.

If anyone is doing this and trying to pair an already paired keyboard do this.... go to settings, keyboard, set up bt keyboard, now get it so the keyboard is flashing and keep holding it, click pair when it shows up, and then enter characters it asks

this is not a hard reset, thats why yours reconnected right away.

Just bought this at a yard sale and the green light blinks steady every second. Won’t turn off and connection gets rejected when trying to pair. Anyone know how to fix and connect?

By the way, if this still connects to your macbook via icloud, you can reset by holding down cmd+shift and click on the bluetooth symbol on the top right corner. This will give you an option for factory reset for your keyboard.

I ave done everything1 But myDELETE key still does not work… it was banging around in my bag for a day without the cover. There is nothing wrong with the keys or the button or its physical stuff under the key… can you help, me? I make so many typos and I dont have an alternate laptop to use (aside from my iPad and this wireless keyboard)… I’m about to order a new one but I know It’s some random programming for the delete key. Thank you in advance, either way.
Also my typing leaved much to be sedesired when I can’t hit the ol backspace… it’s like. ;autocorrect suddenly doesn’t get me… l

This isn't a factory reset. You're simply putting the keyboard in pairing mode.
