David Scales, M.Phil., M.D., Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Department of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College, presented "The Toxins We Carry: Information Environments as Social Determinants of Health" at University of Louisville Department of Medicine Grand Rounds on May 9, 2024.

Dr. Scales' talk focused on understanding the relationship between information and social determinants of health, discussing how an "environmental" approach helps address the issue of medical misinformation, and identifying medical misperceptions at the point of care and develop frameworks for effective responses.

Presented by the UofL Division of General Internal Medicine.
