Repair a Bosch pst 650 jigsaw

making one good jigsaw out of two broken ones i bought the two jigsaws from a carboot sale for £5

I just needed to clear out my blade grip assembly because it wasn't opening up to hold the blade properly, this was helpful to show what screwdriver to use and what to expect on the inside.

Please can you tell me what the metal rod in front of the blade is supposed to do? I was given the exact same model and the rod stops the red blade-lock-thing from swiveling free, so the blade doesnt lock in place...

Jigsaw works well, but blower does not clear the sawdust around the blade.

Nice to see inside a jigsaw and how it works, but I think if a part has gone inside it's not always that easy to buy the parts, They just want to sell you a new one?but nice video thanks
