Over a year later and this video is still applicable. I was updating my Atomos V to version 10.74 and it would never acknowledge that there was a drive in it. After formatting, factory resetting and re-downloading the Atomos software I found your video explaining how to fix. Thank you so much for making this.

Thank you! I thought my unit was fried, but this helped me solve the problem.

This did not work for me. The error still comes on after I update the firmware. I did find I had a bad SSD. That did not stop the error from coming up.

My Ninja simply refuses to update, no matter what I do. I tried separate drives, formatting on both the NInja and my PC, inside and out of recovery mode. Nothing. I'm at a loss. It simply won't recognise the file on the SSDs.

My touch screen is unresponsive everything else works except when I insert the properly formatted drive with the correct firmware it wont detect and & start up the recovery process it just stays stuck on the recovery screen. So annoying

Hi, thanks for video! I followed your instructions exactly having suffered the Error screen. It worked, I updated to the latest OS (now 10.71.1), but after restarting, the dreaded error screen came back again! - Have I got a dodgy unit? Have contacted Atomos support - no help whatsoever! - I really need help!!

Really helpful. Have you ever had the monitor get stuck in recovery mode?

Thanks for this. Will there be a problem with re-activating our codecs.

Unfortunately...I've tried this several times and each time...my Ninja V just boots back up to the recovery screen with the Failed To Update Firmware message. Waiting for Atomos to respond to my trouble ticket I sent them a few days ago but this ridiculous that their firmware updates can render the Ninja V useless!

I have done all the steps and for some reason its still not updating. The Ninja V is stuck on 10.52 and will not update or read the files that I insert into the SSD.
