Hex was absolutely trying to demonize Sayu. Sayu did not know about Hex’s past, he never said a word about it(Sayu said so herself and said that she had loved Hex like a Brother and would not have been so careless if she had known) and he weaponized his trauma to ruin her image. I may not be a victim of SA, but as a survivor of my own form of abuse, I would NEVER weaponize my trauma against someone. What he went through is terrible, but that is no excuse for what he did because what he did made Sayu HIS victim. All of the harassment Sayu and her family went through because of him, there is no forgiving that. He better not try to reach out to her after what he did, he does NOT deserve to speak to her let alone beg for forgiveness.
