My favourite Rabia story is how she went about carrying a pail of water in one hand and a flaming torch in the other, so that she could burn down heaven with the one, and quench the flames of hell with the other, so that people would love God for himself, not merely to get to heaven or to avoid hell.

Love is the cornerstone of all Sufi tariqas.

It is meant to break the heart of stone and dispel the darkness of the mind.

I would not choose any other even if I were given a thousand lives.

This makes me want to learn more about Sufi religion. I’m very into love, and apparently music is a huge part. Being a musician, I’ve had spiritual experiences playing and listening to music

What interesting is the Quran emphasizes love and starts with his mercy and love towards us
and orders Muslims to love the Prophet and his family in order for Allah to love them.

Filip, would you do a video on the interrelationship between the concepts of "love of God" and "fear of God" either in Sufism alone, or Islam alone, or a series comparing different religious traditions?

note: there are actually many references to this concept in islam's earlist rock inscriptions of the middle east, its written in arabic "...with Allah's love..." or smth like that. years are 690-720 AD. you might wanna check that out!

Not love, nor pity but compassion. Somehow love shows some level of obsession. We can't be obsses because we have to be deligent to our heart as a extreme care to not get hurt. Indeed path leads us here by sensing hurt. After Allah fills tranquility in heart only when we start feeling duniya deserves as compassion as we need for ourself.

Yes. My wedding bed with my husband is the Eucharist exchange of love born beyond the veil of this females body and blood where not even God could be conceived and born outside a pure heat not lust. Thank you. I will move on to study sufism.

3:31 Say [O Prophet]: 'If you love God, follow me, [and] God will love you and forgive you your sins; for God is much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace.

Love mentioned in more than 100 verses in the Quran. It's the foundation of religion

What I don't understand is how can we be servants of God and be God on the inside as well, i.e., the soul? In this regard, I find the Gnostic position to be better because of the clear separation between the Divine Energy and the creator of the universe. The Divine Energy is also known as the Monad or The Mind. I really hope you do a video highlighting the main difference between Gnosticism and Sufism by covering this issue because in Sufism, we're one with the creator who is the actual God
