My ex was Greek and we broke up because his mom didn’t approve that I’m Catholic and not Orthodox even though I would join if we married. She made my life a living hell for three years. I’m Sicilian so we’re basically cut from the same cloth. I miss my ex so much. He was the exact opposite of his mean spirited mom. Most loving person I’ve ever met. All the trauma Greek families go through my heart feels for you. Humor is a powerful way to overcome it and cope ❤
