I'm a PC person and may never own a console, but it makes me extremely happy when a console gets software goodies like upscaling, frame generation etc.

I respect AMD for their open-ended tech, allowing everyone to be able to take advantage of new upscale/frame generation technology, I love Frame Generation personally and its really impressive to see it run on consoles as well.

Hopefully this will mean that games push slightly more on quality modes with smoother frames.

Up to 80fps with FSR 3 on the Series X, , thats pretty exceptional to me!!!

This game is on game pass. Already played it on PC (fairly fun game) but might try on series x just to see how it runs. Pretty cool if consoles can now enjoy more games with the huge upside to frame gen

As long as a video game is 60fps I am sold. Focus on the gameplay and always aim to come up with something new.

If I'm not mistaken for thinking this, I can't wait until small ergonomic VR headsets reach a critical technical mass adoption point, because there's headroom on the table with eye tracking and foviated rendering. We're so focused on rendering the entire screen at max fidelity, when we could be rendering our direct line of sight with max fidelity and save all the periphery performance for frames or enhanced focal point detail. Consoles would benefit the most with fixed generational hardware capabilities. Just my limited understanding.. Thanks for reading.

Really excited to see this used on games like Avatar or Alan Wake to free up headroom and increase the resolution on their performance modes

Is this full 4K? Nope… and im ok with it. Alot of these slick ways that we’re getting higher resolutions (fsr, dlss, whatever else convincing upscaling out there) is making alot of these games on consoles look sharp enough in my opinion. I booted this game up on gamepass before and after that fsr3 update and immediately noticed the huge difference… getting much higher framerates with vrr enabled, along with the sharp image from such a low resolution… its really neat. I can see a lot of devs using these utilities in future games this generation… just hope they dont rely on it TOO MUCH

I sold my XSS after waiting for so damn long for new technologies like FSR3 to release on consoles.

Do you recommend to use Vsync on or off with FG in case of XSX and 120Hz TV with VRR? Does it make sense to use Vsync with VRR TV?

I imagine the problem with rendering at 30 and then frame-gen to 60 would be latency - but I sure wish we could get that for the cinematics in Immortals for those of us with 60 Hz displays. Having those /not/ run at 40 would be nice.
