It's an age old argument... What's the best way to grow a YouTube channel and start making money? Do you pursue quality or quantity when creating videos?

In this video I run through the pros and cons of making either quality videos or a high quantity of videos for your YouTube channel and I run through the strategy I'm following in 2023 to beat the YouTube algorithm and grow my YouTube channel.

Hopefully this video helps you get YouTube subscribers and grow your channel. Do you have any more tips for growing a YouTube channel? Let me and everyone else know them in the comments!

I'm Greg Preece, a YouTuber based out of the United Kingdom. I make videos to help YouTubers build consistent and automated income systems from their YouTube channels. I share what I learn from selling my own digital products and services as a YouTuber myself. I also study the creator economy and interview YouTubers to show what business models YouTubers are currently using to create automated income from their YouTube videos.

I'm pondering this now as I have quite a few videos that I don't think are that great but I really need to build up watch time. I don't want these being a reflection of my channel though. Hmm might just upload anyway

There are definite arguments for both methods and many success stories for both but it very much comes down to you and your channel as to which approach is best and I think niche and style of video also plays a big part. Talking head videos are pretty easy to film and edit but if you are showing the process of making something, it takes a lot longer to plan, film and edit etc.

i think focusing on quality would be more better cause the people who likes the quality of ur video will essentially sub u and it may go to more people . like if people even discover you the subscribing would be less so both are same. but if u can get both quantity and quality it will be the best but we do not have so much time for that . so its little confusing

If PewDiePie and T-Series are uploading their videos daily, why I shouldn't upload daily? So, quantity wins!

I’ve been hearing a lot of chatter going on about the debate on this. Very interesting....I’ve been focusing on networking on other social media to bring over a small core audience. It seems to be working fairly well so far 🤷🏼‍♂️

I think if you want to get monetized on YouTube your videos have to have an intro. Can your intro change every single time you upload a new video? It's getting repetitive the same intro every single video ( I don't mean at your videos)

I think quality really matters when you're already getting monetised, if the quality isn't 10/10 but still making more videos its not too bad.

What are your views on my situation? 7 months in, 135 subs, 20, 000 watch time minutes?

Relevant concepts for one to consider. I think, both quality and quantity are equally important Greg. I doubt that as you will increase quantity, you will then compromise quality. I know that with you, as you increase quantity, quality will also inherently improve. As a full-time YouTuber, I am sure you will definitely manage.

Quantity is never a good thing is it sacrifices quality. Stop living in a fantasy world.
