Both intel and amd have made huge leaps in architecture and software to compete with 40 series and RT features. Personally idc for RT, its fun to checkout but 98 percent of the time i dont even use it. But yes basically all the selling points of the 30 and 40 series are obsolete as the 50 series preps for launch.

As someone with a 4070s, 7900xt wins in most of my use cases. In this particular tier of performance though, I'd recommend a 7800xt at 500/sub 500 (use xess if upscaling is needed).
