Croatia is an amazing place! Not my favourite country in the Balkan (because of the crowds and prices), but definitely one of the most beautiful in Europe.

These are all the cities I visited during my time in the country and my ratings.

Pula is a classic beautiful Croatian city. I had such poor weather that I couldn’t get the full experience though, so only a 7.5 for now. Because of the weather I couldn’t visit Rovinj as well unfortunately…

Dubrovnik and Split both got the same (relatively low) grade because of the insane crowds and prices. These cities are medieval masterpieces, but they are absolutely not made for the amounts of people that visit them.

Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, is a great city! It’s not as beautiful as the coastal cities, but still way more beautiful than a lot of Balkan capitals. There were no crowds, but it still felt very vibrant.

Rijeka I visited as a day trip from Zagreb. It definitely had some beautiful places, but it felt a bit boring to me. Still worth the day trip though, they have a very cool castle there too!

Zadar is my favourite city in Croatia. It’s beautiful, exceptionally clean, full of history, and very quiet compared to the other coastal cities. I had an absolute blast in Zadar and I will definitely go back there next time!

Right now I cycle through and the best of Croatia is the whole coast in the south of Split ❤
