I am a 6 handicap. Best round ever was early this year with a 6 under par 66. I had a migraine on the course in the morning and shot about 80, but had such low expectations in the afternoon game after the migraine relaxed on every shot and shot the 66. Frighteningly I then shot 90 the following week

Mark, this was great, you really opened up when talking about the filming and how it helped you fall in love with golf again, just brilliant, honest and authentic. Been a fan for a long time. I love how you debunk, rationalize golf cliches with actual data.
Its true in my case that I have more problems at 180yards or longer than my short game. Having a phenomenal short game doesn't help if you're chipping to the green playing 5.

I even get bullied in some golf groups when I took your advice about replacing my 4 and 5 iron for hybrids. They say I don't practice enough. But the reality is, most of just want to get the most out of our game.

I had the 1st round of my club champs a few weeks back. Got there early warmed up on the range, chips putting etc. went out and shot 8 over my Hcp. Went out the following morning, straight out the car, onto the first tee and shot 4 under my Hcp. I'm guessing this says I play my best when relaxed. So as much as I work on my game I need to work on my mind and be able to stay relaxed on the course

Lots of good stuff to think about there Mark. One thing I've noticed, for me anyway, is it depends on the caliber of player that I'm playing with. If it's a better player, I end up playing better, if they're a newbie I end up playing like crap. And I think that has to do with my mind set. I just love playing regardless of who I'm playing with or even if I'm playing solo. Good video Mark. Thanks for all you do for us, and stay safe.

Love the live content Mark and really enjoyed the honest insight into your game based on the excellent question - getting the right kit for me now is a given - something that you then don't have to worry about - range time at least once a week but practicing productively and creatively plus a social round at the weekend but always with a competitive edge and used as an opportunity to try things practiced on the range - mindset is to have fun whilst winning!!!!
