My brother and I watched reruns in the early 70s when we were little and we thought it was funny the difference between his singing voice and his Gomer voice. We called him "Moo Cow" cause we thought he sang like a cow. We were like 9 years old. He was extremely loyal to his friend Frank Sutton and only agreeing to another show if Sutton could join him.
