Evan Gershkovich: One year since Wall Street Journal reporter jailed in Russia

It's a year since the Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich was arrested in Russia and accused of spying for the US.

The 32-year-old American is in Moscow's notorious Lefortovo Prison awaiting trial - one of a growing number of US citizens or dual nationals behind bars in Russia. Targeted, Washington says, to be used as bargaining chips.

We also spoke to Polina Ivanova, a friend of Evan Gershkovich and a correspondent for the Financial Times, covering Russia, Ukraine and the Caucasus and began by asking if she's heard from Evan and how he is.
