Hm, normally you have to compensate for the orange mask and clip every color-channel individually, if you are doing conversion like that. Did you just leave that out or is there some magic happening, I'm not aware of?

This is so amazing! Makes me miss trie film photography.

There is a little device called scanner. I happened to have one from Epson that can scan negative film. Works way better than use a camera and cost only a fraction of it
