Witcher 3 – Best Weapons & Armor Early Location (Next Gen Update)!

In this Witcher 3 beginners guide I show you how to get the best start in the Witcher 3 Next Gen update by getting the best armor early and best weapons early in The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt after the Next-Gen upgrade which added several new armor set locations and weapon locations to the Witcher 3. I will show you how to get the Armor of a Thousand Flowers Location, Nine Tailed Vixen Silver Sword and Steel Sword Location, Steel and Silver Swords of a Thousand Flowers, White Tiger of the West Armor Set Location and both the Forgotten Wolven Armor Set Location and the Forgotten Wolven Grand Master and Master Crafted Set Locations by completing the Scavenger Hunt to get the Forgotten Wolf School Hear Diagrams.

Update: Regarding the Armor of a Thousand Flowers; This armor set will only appear in the chest or your characters inventory (if you already looked the chest) after you do the following: From the main menu, go to My Rewards 0:46 and then you must follow the prompt to login with your GOG account (doesn't matter what platform you are playing; the login need to be done using GOG account). This is free to do.

The sword that Hattori crafts for you in of swords and dumplings, blades from bits has been buffed with a 50% crit damage bonus and the damage scales with your lvl

(9:40) The Forgotten Wolf Armor doesn't really have a negative effect to health, I think you got confused there because you had the White Tiger of the West armor on and it gives you more health -- that's why there's the negative there, it's only in comparison to one another, and when you swap them out you just go back to your base vitality.

Another amazing steel sword in the early game is Headhunter, which is obtainable from a chest on an island formation east of Hindhold, once you get to Velen.

1000 flower set seems more in lore than the vanilla game armors. Has a very witcher aesthetic, very nice.

I definitely understand why the Nilfgaardian scrotal armor set is off by default....it's for safety. If Geralt put on a full set of that stuff and traveled to a cold area he would be crushed to death by armor shrinkage.

moonblade has my favorite design in the entire game. it's disappointing that i want to use it through the whole story but i can't. i just wished they'd put a one-shot magic upgrade or something to max only your favorite equipment, just for this beauty of a sword. i'd pay to produce a replica if i had the money, that's how much i love it.

I started completely from scratch on ps5 after around 800 hrs on the ps4.
I got the atmor sets in Vizima after talking to Yennefer but were too low level at lvl 4, when I reached Velen I ran into the Deacon when exploring and realized he was a new quest character.
I dove down into the mine at lvl 4 and came back up a lvl 5. What a great and challenging quest! And a great reward, can't wait to craft and use it!

White Tiger of the West armor was a huge letdown imo.
It's stats total to:
21% resistance to slashing
10% resistance to piercing and bludgeoning
20% monster damage resistance
2% elemental resistance
30% poison resistance
25 bleeding resistance

vs

The level *10* Nilfgaardian Armor you can get from the Crow's Perch Quartermaster
it's stats are total to:
45% slashing resistance
40% resistance to both piercing and bludgeoning
15% monster damage resistance
10% elemental resistance
25% poison resistance
25% bleeding resistance

There's only a 12 item rating difference between the total armor value too so... Nilfgaardian armor is just flat out better for some reason...

He mentioned it in his moon blade video but for those of you just finding out now (like me), the moon blade is leveled to you so for me it was a required lvl 4 so the white widow sword is quite a bit better and you can’t upgrade the moon blade so if you get it very early like I did you’re a little sol

Before the comments flood in about the bugs in the update. This is not cyberpunk all over again. This is not destroying a game you have loved for years. They will release a bug fix. I am so happy they gave us a massive FREE update

Lets not forget about free dlc armors. Temarian armor bought from the merchant you saved in prologue and nilfgardian armor you can buy at bloody baron' place

Can't believe CDPR released this quality content for free. Bethesda would have included it in the creation club, each armor costing 5 dollars and the quest 15!

I LOVE CDPR for actually giving the Netflix armor it’s own lore established into the actual game lore. The explanation that it was meant to be used as an old prototype armor for the school of the wolf but never got finished, awesome stuff! Really helps get rid of that awful taste in the mouth that is the Netflix series

I noticed that the regular grandmaster wolven armor is a bleed passive now and not oils so thats cool
