The CRF300 Rally is a very versatile light weight adventure motorcycle at a modest price point. To take full advantage of it's potential, you will need to do a number of upgrades and mods. I have segmented a couple dozen 300 rally mods across a few different videos. This is the second in the series. The specific order that you do your 300 rally mods is not critical and will depend on your type of riding, and what changes matter most to you.
This video will round out the first 10 mods and upgrades for your CRF300l or 300L Rally without spending big bucks on the upgrades. At the end of this video I will walk you through one of the five mods in detail so check that out before your go.

The Mods mentioned in this video can be found at the following links:

Yamoto Skid Plate from Roar Moto:

Pro Taper Contour 1 1/8 CR High Bars:
Pro Taper Fat Bar Adapters:

Cycra Hand Guard Replacement Anchors:

Tractionator RallZ Rear Tire: (make sure to choose the tube type version)
Tractionator RallZ Front Tire:

Tractionator Adventure Rear Tire:
Michelin Anakee Wild Front Tire:

AXP Top Rack:

Tools:
AC Delco Digital Torque Wrench

I hope this info is helpful, I'm always delighted to get your questions, comments and feedback.
Thanks for watching!

... Just got a 2021 Rally on 5/31/23. Of course I am watching every CRF 300 video available.
It already has a lot of upgrades. The back rack is the same as yours.
Subscribed w/a bell.
Looking forward to more videos.
Thank you for taking the time to post them.

Nice video. Could you please give a piece of advice on Crash bars as well? Which crash bar do you recommend?

Why not install grips without glue but with a liquid as a lubricant that'll totally dissipate and leave the dry rubber on the steel so it won't slip? That's how I installed my last grips so it's easier to change in the future. I don't think they really need to be glued usually if they can be fitted on and dry but they can't be slipped on without something to lubricate. I guess they were tougher to get on still but is there some downside to doing it this way? A lot of grips seem to wear really fast which I don't like

I also chose not to try to add saddlebags because when I had them on my KLR 650 they seem like a big wind drag and made the bike feel weird off-road and was always trying to get caught on stuff. This bike is far better off-road so I'm definitely not going to ever put side bags.

Hi Chris. Thanks for the upload. Question. The stock bars have drilled holes for the controls, the controls have a tab inside the line up with the holes, to help line up the controls, also keeps the controls from ever moving.

When you replaced the bars did you do anything about the tabs on the controls? I’ve read some remove the tab, (sand it down) and add a bit of tape to the bar to help keep the controls from ever moving. I’m curious what you did. I’m planning on adding new bars and hand guards to my rally very soon. Cheers!

What upper crash bars are you using? I have SRC skid plate and lower crash bars, and looking to add uppers. Thanks!

I can’t figure out if people that buy this fantastic BEGINERS off road/off road bike knowing it has the short comings to a better dirt bike why do they buy it. It will always be under powered and still have a frame of a beginners bike.
