I would love to upgrade to the stage 1 ECU for my CRF300l, in order to compliment the RS4 Yoshimura exhaust system, D&N air filter and airbox modifications, but 550 Performance want £650 for a UK order. I feel this is extortionate for 3 Nm of torque and a 12% increase in power gains. If it was £200 I’d be tempted! 😊👍

Always disconnect your negative battery cable before unplugging or plugging in an ECU! Reconnect once finished.

**Ok guys I have an update 2 things have come to my attention.
1.) A commenter Cyber Gasty pointed out US and thai ECUs are different form European ECUs, so you will have to reach out the 550 to see if they have exactly what you need.
2.) it seems 550Performance has updated/changed pricing. I do not yet have the confirmed pricing, I will update you guys when I the new information. I also wanted to include a copy/paste of my conversation with 550performance below. I wanted to be clear and transparent where I came up with my idea of the pricing named in the video.

"550Performance:
We do also offer core ecu’s as they are in stock. This helps speed up the process and minimize the down time. We charge $149.99 for them and will refund $129.99 if the core is returned.

What stage tuner did you get? Also, did you need to do any other work to your bike to use the tuner?

i am in Canada and want to send mine in and its gonna be over $300CAD with boarder charges and new one reaches $500 i am almost to point buy the tuner from dino jet. if there cheaper way for Canadians let me know

How do you think this bike stacks up to the rally version? Do you think the larger tank and wind protection justify the increased cost and seat height? Who do you think the Rally is for?

I sent in the ECU ‘s for both of mine and it was $125 each. I did the Rally first so I could roll race against the 300L. The 550 tune walked the stock with equal rider/bike weights every time. For some reason the 550 tune on my standard 300 is even more pronounced than the Rally’s
Definitely money well spent!

Just a note for Europeans who watch this vid. It is not possible with European ECU, it works only with Thai and US (they are almost identical), smaller in size and connection is different.

I'd be interested in the stock improved map. Maybe you can try that out and see if it's worth it? I wish there were aftermarket exhausts that are as quiet as the oem one otherwise I would get one.

@MotorcyclesOffroad Thanks so much for your content. Q1) Is the RS-4 exhaust much louder than stock? Q2) Did you leave the spark arrestor in? Q3) Do the 550 needs a different tune for with and without the spark arrestor?
