Wouldn't it make better sense to take cover from the safety of your base than to try and kite them backward into even more mobs? They keep spawning in because you keep kiting them backward into places you haven't been before.

25:00 You're supposed to use the ore-finder thing along with a SHOVEL. It dings faster when you're close to the ore, then you use the shovel to dig down and find the ore. But you still haven't made a shovel yet.
