New Sonos Amp Review: Is the Sonos Amp Worth It?

In this video we review the Sonos Amp and tell you about my experience with the Sonos Amp. The New Sonos Amp was launched in 2019 and has 125W per channel which is more than 2x the power of the previous version of the Sonos Connect: Amp. The new Sonos Amp also includes an HDMI port, and when paired with Sonos by Sonance speakers can use the custom Trueplay tuning feature that Sonos speakers are known for. With the Sonos Amp and Trueplay your iPhone is used to custom tune Sonos devices by walking around the room and taking audio measurements on your phone to precisely adjust the sound to the ideal settings for listening.

I've noticed the biggest improvement in sound quality when powering 4 speakers or when powering mid range or higher end built in speakers. For low quality speakers both the Sonos Amp and Sonos Connect Amp preform similarly, you can't expect an Amp to make poor quality speakers better. However for mid range and higher end speakers I've noticed that the Sonos Amp can improve the overall tone of the sound and reduce and "metallic" sounds at higher volume.

Overall the Sonos Amp is a great way to stream music to built in speakers and can be paired with any of the other Sonos streaming speakers for high quality audio.

If you are building a new home and want the best of the best I would pair a Sonos Amp with Sonos by Sonance speakers for an immersive audio experience.

I have already a Denon Receiver for my Home Theater, I am placing SONOS all over my house.
Is there a way that a NEW SONOS AMP can stream to my Denon Receiver? I know the old Sonos Connect: Amp can do it.
