This video breaks down an exercise from my book "Bass Player's Guide to Pentatonics", and shows you how to use the same framework but get away from the restrictions of locking in with the rhythm section, which leads to an almost limitless supply of ideas for new bass lines.

Thanks for the lesson. The Pentaonics book is such a valuable resource---one of several JG books I'm working with. Looking forward to the new one when it arrives later this month!
