When struggling to figure out where to put the other eye, I like to cover up half of the face with my hand and let my brain figure out where the other eye should go in a way that would look natural with the power of imagination, it's a life saver for me

Literally the best 2 pieces of advice I got for my drawings/paintings from my art professor.

1. Don't do art angry. If you're getting frustrated, set down the brush/pencil, take a deep breath, walk around, and get some water. She encouraged us to do this during class.
2. Remember to breath. If you're holding your breath, it makes it harder to control your pen, pencil, brush, etc. Take a deep breath and exhale while doing your next line/stroke.

This happened to me earlier 😭 I was drawing a complicated pose, and I just couldn't get the shoulder right. I showed 2 people (one artist, one not) and they said it was fine. I went to my next class, came back to it ....

It was fine. There was nothing extremely wrong with it
