7—correction: Impaling does more damage to mobs in the water. Impaling V takes a Trident from three-shotting a Creeper to one-shotting it, if it's in the water. If a mob is in rain, it also counts as in water, so the same thing applies.
Edit: Also, what else would you out on a Trident for a damage boost? Sharpness or Smite won't go on tridents.
