I’m a male ER doctor and over my career there have been countless times patients have been confused about my role, mistaking me for a nurse, respiratory therapist, etc. It can be a confusing situation because everyone wears scrubs . I’ve never once been offended by this due to my overwhelming respect for the nursing profession.
