Burt's Bees is owned by Clorox and The Body Shop is owned by L'Oreal. An article by Loren Berlin in the Huffington Post (04/20/12) discussed how Fortune 500 companies 'greenwash' product lines to appeal to niche audiences. Unless your cosmetics are certified organic in California, there is no legislation to enforce a products' claims of "organic" ingredients. Not trying to dump on your favorite products, just saying be aware of the marketing!
