Personally Bezels never bothered me. That is a marketing tool in my opinion aside from that I like the 8+ design and in my opinion the only true negative is no headphone jack...

The iPhone 8 Plus will be a great buy in September. It will be cheaper but still have good battery life, camera, processor, etc along with the traditional design and speedy Touch ID

I upgraded from the 6s plus to the 8 plus about one month ago and I cannot express how happy I am that I did it. The camera is amazing and the phone is fast and I haven’t experienced any hiccups. The battery life is great, even better than my 6s when I got it. The phone feels like a product that will last, and I’m excited to see how it is in the next year or two.

Even in late 2019, it's a great phone. The 8 Plus is the best phone i have ever had, i've had mine since December 2017 and i still love it, plan on keeping it for 3 more years.
