LG's new V40 ThinQ phone is built for photography, with 3 lenses on the back and 2 on the front for a total of five cameras. We spent some time with the V40 to see how it performs both as a phone and as a tool for photography. There's a lot to like, and some major missteps.

Its easy to tell you are a pixel guy because you have the pixel launcher on this phone. Imo LG skin is just fine. Only a true LG fan appreciates it. This phone looks good though..

These people have been the only ones saying that the software is not final yet. It'll most likely improve until being released

Sounds like there is some potential there. Maybe Nokia will do a better job with the Nokia 9?

I have a V30 and I was pretty disappointed with this camera(s). Especially the front facing one. It's a pretty average phone with the only selling point for me anyway was the hi-fi dac.

non removable battery harsh down point as ( most battery last year to year and half ) 5 cameras thats not much better than older models? i usually upgrade every 2 - 3 years (optimus S g2 g4 v20 ) i might hold off till a V40+ / 45 / 50 if this is going to be the final configuration. the audio looks good processor looks nice wonder what network bands it will have, accessories, cases, general integration support.

You guys are better than The Verge but your first impression review contained all about camera and not much about Screen and other stuff
