What's crazy is I just started mixing and mastering in separate sessions and BRO, the sound quality has been night and day. Leaving 6 db of head room before bouncing my mix has truly been a game changer. Great video, love your techniques keep it up bro!

You make a lot of logical sense👍 So, ideally you should mix your song from the static mix, include your processing, levels etc then export it. Start a new session for mastering only.
That forces you to get the mix right versus mastering in the mixing session. Sound about right?

Ive been trying to mix and master at the same time and it sounds good on my studio speakers but when I play it on my phone or in my truck it’s always sounds low. So it’s been a little frustrating.

10:45 I can’t drag and drop a reference track from Apple Music into Logic Pro. Does anyone know how to fix this? I’ve also tried to import an audio file and that doesn’t work either!

I have a question about distribution. Once I've mastered my tracks in a session like this, would I then bounce this entire mastering session and hand the entire EP or album in as one huge file, or would I send the distribution service individual bounces for each song? Thanks!
