Coconut Oil soap Recipe: (this recipe makes approx. 9 lb of soap)
108 oz Coconut oil
15.8 oz Lye (for 20% SF)
22 oz Distilled Water (with 2 T cane sugar dissolved in it, before adding lye, then a cotton ball size amount of Tussah Silk fibers to hot lye solution)
7 oz Pure Coconut Milk (added to oils)

plus additives I add: 2 T Kaolin Clay, 2 T Colloidal Oats, & Fragrance (please use a fragrance and/or essential oil calculator for the particular scent you're using)

Caution: Coconut oil soap can get very hot in the mold, so I recommend soaping at cooler temps, and not insulating. If you have trouble with overheating, you can refrigerate your freshly molded soap.

I have made 100% coconut soap. Love it, specially in the winter. Finland winter is very dry for the skin and coconut soap is so moisturizing. 😍

I love that magic mushroom color. You're not rambling, Ellen. You are reiterating, because you are a great teacher! I love the way you give details and reiterate the same information in a different way. I learn so much from you. God bless you, and have a great rest of your week! 🙏

You are a great teacher, not rambling or confusing at all❤
I agree pure coconut oil with a high superfat is just wonderful. I have added dessicated coconut too.

Hello Ellen I recently had a loaf of CP crack dead center wall to wall. I freaked out and immediately placed in the freezer for about 2 hours then move down in the fridge for a couple of hrs. The crack practically gone. It's works if caught early on. Thank you for always sharing knowledge.

I love coconut oil soaps. The first one I made started to crack real bad. I just smooched it back together with gloves on of course, and it wasn’t even visible that it had split after. I recently did a salt bar too with 100% coconut oil. Love it. Thanks for sharing.

What a beautiful swirl colour! I will be trying a 100% coconut based on your recommendations. I’ve never superfatted at that percentage so this will be new for me. The soap math is just so incredibly interesting to me.

Thank you for sharing, Ellen!

I love that you really broke down everything to explain how to do everything. I'm trying to find a video of yours that explains how to use like baby food. Really want to try that.
