And the same goes for her. Nothing wrong with it when you think of them as machines. And they're connected, physically at the neural level. Chief never sounded so lost or broken across the entire series than "Cortana, please..." (20:25) and "...wait." (20:40). The sheer amount of grief that Steve manages to interject with so few words is powerful. Jen, of course, has always been an absolute marvel.
