With the latest economic news being dire, Rishi Sunak had no answers to the questions being put to him. The cost of living is getting worse, and his pledges are in tatters. But the response to one question was so awful, you wonder if he has anyone credible advising him.

People don’t realise just how incompetent this government actually is.

The Tories are just thieves . Johnson, Truss and now Sunak . Maggie screwed the Miners .

But aren't the Tories just salting the land and poisoning the wells before they retreat to the opposition benches to gloat as the next government struggle to undo the decades long damage they have wrought?

As soon as Labour get in the Tories and the press will expect this mess to be sorted overnight.

“The economy is in ruins; I blame the previous Chancellor.” 🤑

"If you think it's bad under us Tories, you should try Labour". OK, we will.

Sunaks stock response is pretty much « he says we are crap, but it would be worse under you ». After 13 years does he really think that butters any parsnips?

The Torygraph had an online headline the other day about how Gordon Brown put an extra £270 per year on people's mortgages
Not only was Brown last Pm over thirteen years ago but they completely failed to mention the £2, 900 extra on mortgages that the torie's mismanagement has added on average lately

A parrot would not only be cheaper but also better and could probably answer more questions.

Got to say I agree with Sunak, we really should try things under Labour. Sooner the better.

I think the docility and stoicism of the British people may change as they are bankrupted and lose their homes.

While Danish inflation plummeted to 2.9 percent here in Denmark, British inflation remained at 8.7 percent, just like in April. Since the beginning of 2020, the British price level has increased by 21 percent, which is almost twice as much as the Danish one.

This happens, of course, even though Denmark and Great Britain buy natural gas and electricity from the same sources and are thus exposed to the same waves in energy prices.

This is starting to remind me of 2008, when a lot of people lost their homes and certain people made millions out of other people's misery. Didn't Sunak make his millions then?

the notion that the Tories are the party of economic competence has never been true in my lifetime, it is a right wing client media myth. The only time the economy and society improved for me was under Labour

"We are getting on with the job" - that would explain the lack of policy, the lack of meaningful activity but it would not explain the partying or the poor attendance at debates.

To be honest, I'm surprised that Sunak didn't break the emergency glass and blame Corbyn for all this!

An MP is not allowed to call another MP a liar because he would thereby be telling the truth, thus contravening parliamentary etiquette.
