I appreciate that you stress that sequential performance doesn't mean much in general usage. Far too many people get fooled by marketing slides.

Nada, I really love the SSD reviews showing the performance and pricing data. With **so many options** out there, its good to have this data when making purchasing decision with use-case in mind!

I appreciate the review because this is helping me pick up this drive. Was on the fence with getting it to replace my main drive and secondary one I currently have.

Thank you for these very informative videos! I'm in the market myself to buy a Gen 4 SSD, and I'm still watching and re-watching your vids for the best price to performance drive!

Love the great in-depth testing you do here Nada @ Techtesters with the storage drives 🥰👍. Personally made some purchases of a couple Gen4 NVME drives based on your cost / performance reviews for my new Asus 🤞(doh…..but bought it a lil bit before the controversy🤔) AM5 build and finding some great deals locally here in Australia 🇦🇺 on my desired 4TB drives for personal use as well as getting into DiVinci Resolve for a hobby 🥰🤩🥳. Thank you Nada / Techtesters for such invaluable content and information 🥰🎉🎊much appreciated 🍻🥂

It is interesting that the MP700 sold out so fast on Amazon and local stores here in Australia.

I can see the MSI Spatium 570HS in stock for a very long time but curiously there are virtually no reviews on it, despite the Pro version coming out very soon.

2:01 apparently you can also use corsair's xm2 waterblock, and because that can be used on the mp 600 pro xt you should also be able to use the heat sink on that ssd as well. I saw this on a corsair faq for the mp700 and the heat sink part is theoretical so don't take my word for it.

Thanks for this very well done video :)

I doubt Gigabyte can keep that higher price for much longer given the near identical performance of this drive.

Just bought 990 pro; gen5 will have to offer a bit more to even consider it.

Nada, thanks for your different SSD reviews.
Are you convenient to make a video for NVMe Gen 3 SSD, from best value, price to performance, best Gen 3 drive, etc?
The Gen 4 is still quite expensive here. It would be great if you could make it, appreciate you 🙏🙏❤❤😉

Based on some other tests either this or the Crucial T700 does have a bug where it simply shuts off after it reaches max temp - 83c i believe. Hope they fix this.
Also checking Geizhals price history none of the Gen5 models have 1TB in stock and 2TB stock seems to be very erratic with the Aorus 10000 being the most consistently in stock since February this year. T700 is nowhere to be seen and MP700 shows that it was available in April for a few weeks but is out of stock now.

Im guessing this is due to the fact that the 230+ layer NAND is still in short supply. Gen5 drives were postponed once already. Initially they were supposed to be available with Zen4 launch in Q3 2022 but we are in Q2 2023 and availability is still bad. Personally i could no longer wait. Got myself 1TB 990 Pro for OS drive - im on a gen4 system anyway. I just thought about trying to see how much gen5 would be bottlenecked on a gen4 system but i guess someone else will have to do that at some point.

"some random performance numbers", phrased this way it seems they just wrote random numbers, I love it

Again, excellent review and work as always. I love it. Let’s see if they are going to update the Consistency part with Firmware as you said. They should. Perhaps they will do it with after they release 4TB version. Yet, I think is a bit premature to buy them, so I will definitely wait for 4TB from Corsair, Samsung and others. And checking constantly the prices of 4 Gen price, they will probably low the prices and that is how I may get my 990 2TB or perhaps one of these 5 Gen. In Portugal the prices is a little bit… unrealistic. Comparing to Netherlands prices. Which is a unfortunate mistake. To be honest, I could travel to Netherlands, Spain or Germany and buy there instead of here 🤷🏻‍♂️.

Is the m.2 slot worn out yet on the test bench? 🤣
