I really shot an entire roll on the same frame because mine wouldn't catch. Watching it catch and shooting another couple times to see the film spooling around is necessary to ensure you weren't shooting blanks, for other beginners out there! Thanks

I need some help understanding this my canon just doesn’t take up spook as easily as yours. The things that guide it through the take up spool just won’t catch and it’s getting to be majorly annoying. If you have any tips I would greatly appreciate it.

Way back when I got my first A-1, it was a top-of-the-line camera. I think my F-1 was above it, but those two were the best Canon had, if I remember correctly. (It's been a while.) In the 70's, it seemed that Nikon was used by more pros, but Canon was still a great camera. My favorite then was the F-1 with a motor drive.

What i always do once the take up spool has film loaded and back is closed ....is to take up the film slack in the film cartridge by turning the film crank rewind lever gently until its tight. Then you are ready to advance to frame 1 and fire away
