You forgot a very important point. When you wind most 35mm cameras the rewind knob should rotate. If it doesn't then the film isn't advancing.

You can also turn the crank to tighten the film on the spool so you won’t have to waste shots

You make this feel more difficult than it really is fir us old timers who grew up with film since being a kid in the 70's. But I undetstand alot of brand new film shoiters this is a great tutorial on proper loading.

my film roll doesnt have the tab of film sticking out to load :(

At the beginning, did you turn the film advancer just so it was easier to set your ISO, or is that necessary?

How do you tell what your ISO is set to? I saw the clear window showing 200 just like the film, so I assume the other numbers are your shutter speed that you somehow set?

Does that metal tab do anything besides allowing you to open the camera door more easily? I saw another video where someone put the tab down when they inserted the film canister to hold it [the canister] in place, but in the next shot it was up again?

Why would you need the canister + tube once it’s developed? You’ll have negatives then to put into a file
