I know he is speaking about dreaming, but i believe God does have vocal chords similar to humans because we are made in His image. Now concerning the baptism of Jesus, it says in Matthew 3:17 - And lo a "voice" from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. So we know it is God the father speaking having vocal chords.

It's both, I hear and see in my dreams. So sound and vision. It's all put in the one who see and hear.
Eg before my uncle died, I went to visit them in my dream, then I saw flovers around their place, " flovers that I have the "vision" previously in another dream.
So when I was asked by a family/friend if my uncle was going to continue living? My answer was no, because I already foresaw the vision in my dream that he/my uncle was going to die. So thinking/ reflecting before speaking, even asking other people info about dreams would be crusial. When trying to convey info to the public sometimes!
