I made this series almost 2 years ago. So, please excuse the poor video quality of the art making in the first few videos. It gets better. I promise.

It's fascinating how much the backstory of a piece of art can change someone's perspective of it 💞

I'm learning more from your youtube shorts than my art class 💀

In Anne of Green Gables, Anne pretends to be the Lady of Shalott and I never knew what she was talking about until now!

I love stories, especially if there is just a picture and there’s a backstory. This whole thing is beautiful

I just love how you also tell the story behind the painting which keeps us engaged and not just keep on painting silently. Keep up the good work 😊😊.

My grandmother has this photo up in my aunt’s room. I always thought that she looks like she’s escaping something bad. It’s nice to hear the story behind it.

your videos mean a lot to me. you constantly say that one of the main things in art is to enjoy the process, that when you draw, sometimes you should just have fun from the heart. only because of this, I took out my old watercolors and painted with them for the last few days. I'm not very good at it, but it's been some of the best evenings in the last couple of months. so yes, I am very grateful to you for your cozy videos. you are amazing, thank you.
I hope you having a nice day too! <3

I love the story so much, and it’s so nice that you speak about it instead of painting in silence :D

How can a single word, Waterhouse, have such a complicated, impressive, cruel and yet beautiful story and scenery behind it? What a fascinating artist, just like you, Scott. You’re able to tell stories perfectly and make yours on your own too. We had to draw self portrait with Saskia (Rembrandt) and self portrait with Isabella (Rubens) with our own style in art class before and I had to make presentations about them, so maybe I’ll see these 2 artists in your shorts sometime too, what would sure be nostalgic.~
