Sony a7R V:
Here is my full review of the Sony a7RV... Arguably, it is one of the best cameras on the planet in 2023.

As an owner of the a7rv the best feature that this camera has pretty much over any other camera ever made is the third dial on the back that used to be an exp compensation dial in the past that could only adjust that, now it is fully customisable and you can set it to ISO!!!
This feature alone makes this camera (although its way too complicated regarding its overall features and settings) the most easy, intuitive and fun to shoot with camera on the planet.

Nice review of these cameras, I own a Sony A7R2 and a Sony A7R4 myself, I'm very happy with both. I have a question for you, do you know when you can expect the Sony A7R6?, I buy a new camera every second generation, and I would like to know from when I would have to start saving money for it, and they don't write anything on the internet, thank you and best regards.

Thanks for the review. I had the A7RIV for several years, and now have the A7RV. Very happy with the fully articulating screen, and the better AF. The AI based AF is simply more accurate at hitting the right spot with an f/1.2 lens, at f/1.2. The AF tech inside the camera has certainly moved along a LOT, over the A7RIV

Hi, thank you for this review and your opinion in regards of a1 vs r5. a quick question; I’ve noticed you change your gear quite often. How would you usually sell/exchange your gears? Do you use eBay to sell your used gear or platforms like KEH? Do you buy used gear, if so from where do you buy, do you buy in exchange for your existing gear thru KEH? Thanks Till

Thanks for the great video been following your content for a few years now. I've been shooting with Sony since I purchased a Sony a57 which was a mount camera. The A7R5 is probably one of the best Sony cameras that I have used in the last 15 years. I remember back to the a mountain days especially the a99 where I had all sorts of trouble trying to lock focus to make sure that I got the eye in focus. Those days in like a fleeting memory especially with this camera. And the rotating screen on the back is one of the best qualities that I've seen in that same time period. When I was using the A7R3 it was always very difficult to have my clients see the images on the back of a camera. That is not a problem anymore. While the camera may not play very nicely with third party equipment in terms of a vertical grip is still operates in a very superior fashion.

I’m considering this camera, however I also am toying with the new Leica Q3. For wedding, portrait and street mainly

Been using the Sony APS-C cameras like the a6600 with an eye for a while on full frame such as a7R series predominately for stills. Having seen the recent release of the a7CR I was tempted but seeing there being some great deals on the a7RV I went with it giving less comprises for bit bigger body size.

Amazing review! Will definitely wait for the Sony A1: Mark 2 because A1 is the best hybrid. Thank you!

Hey, man, i really hope you didnt ditched the idea of comparing 7th gen Legion 7 and 8th gen one, since it is not 100% better option (excluding performance). I was really hoping to see that comparison, that is what legion themed videos lack right now. And if im right you skipped 7th gen Legion in the first place? Because i couldnt find any reviews from you on it, i guess you jumped from 6th to 8th straight, skipping 7th, as far as i know 7th gen appeared on your video only on 8th gen update video recently.

I still have not had a reason to upgrade from the A7R3 (purchased new a few years ago for $2K). Personally, I don't do video - so a non-articulating screen is fine - other than that I guess I would get better AF (which is not limiting me), different menus (although I am used to them), and some more megapixels (I can already print way bigger than I need and crop sufficiently). If anything I was tempted to update my backup body to a second A7R3 (you can get used ones for around $1400 now) but instead I went for something fun/different.... a Leica Q3.... Just wish it would arrive already...

The only highlight of this camera is the LCD, which can only be found on this photo-centric model unfortunately.

Ed, at first glance, I thought that Sony finally stopped smoking crack and finally released the Sony RX10V...
Nope. I guess they're still at it. I've never loved & hated something this much in my entire life. lol
Great video as always brutha!

For me there are only two new things that are better on the A7RV than the A7RIV/A7RIVA, it is the EVF and the IBIS which should have been in the A7RIVA ! The sensor in the A7RV is the same as in the A7RIV/A7RIVA so no advantage, I had expected the new 93 megapixel sensor, but that one my first arrive in 2024 !? I will not get the A7RV, by the way, I do NOT like the new screen !
