I buy an cheap fengda FE-180K airbrush with little compressor and acrylic color pack for 135€ to try airbrushing, good luck for me, it working in decent way.
I feeling more and more confident and definitly looking for better airbrush in some time.
So a better airbrush for improving fine detail and using the cheap for heavy duty.
Thank you for all your great video =)

I've started (for miniature painting) with double action H&S Ultra (0.2) and it's only OK - the trigger is unfortunately too stiff for precise work - upgrading to H&S Infinity (0.15 & 0.4) made huge difference, though no wonder at that price point. Ultra was great for basic stuff though - priming, basing, diorama work and cleaning it was super easy. Infinity is all that and more, but yeah, $$$.

I like using my single action airbrush to do fill in, base coats, fogging large areas with stencils then switch to double action for the art work.
These vids keep me on my toes thanks a hula Carsten

Hi i am a professional car painter and i always wanted to do airbrushing on custom paint jobs, my question is how do you determine what nozzle size to use when using a airbrush?

Hi from Germany! Thanks for this informative video. As you said, the most important factor (besides money) is what you want to do with an airbrush. I just bought a cheap airbrush kit (50 €) from Amazon ("Ganzton Airbrush Set Double Action"), to use for miniature painting. Cheap double action airbrush with 0.4 mm needle/nozle, mini compressor, air hose and the usual "cleaning tools". My main intention was to replace the old rattle cans for applying primer and clear varnish. It gets the job done (even doing the first base color with it) and I got the hang to it quite easy. This kit won't be the right choice for hourlong non-stop painting sessions I guess, the compressor would be down on its knees. At least it has an auto stop and can be switched between 3 PSI settings (~15 to ~30 PSI).
Now I'm bitten by the airbrush bug and thinking about getting into "full" airbrush painting. So I'm saving up money to upgrade later down the road. A reasonable compressor with an air tank and for the airbrush I'm eyeballing an Harder & Steenbeck Silverline or Evolution. And I need to macgyver a small paint booth to keep my workspace (and my health) nice and clean ;)

Thanks for your video on Airbrushing. I'm interested in an Airbrush to Airbrush the edges of pucture frames all around the frames about the width of a quarter using metalic gold for a metalic gold finish, I'd rather spend good money for something that will last than something cheep.

Thanks in advance.

I'm going to try out one of those Creole airbrushes with the 18 needle I just haven't had the money right now but I know I'll come up with it eventually but I have several wireless and I have some of them real cheap airbrushes they're they're number two needles and it actually worked pretty decent you know just taking me a while to get back into into the swing of it I have an airbrush since 2015 only can I got sick and it really messed me up you know I still have trouble control in my arms and hands and stuff but I'll get there I know the Lord is able to help me and I thank you for your devotion to trying to help people to understand airbrushing and whether they even need an airbrush or not thank you for your work May the living Lord Jesus Christ bless your soul on your endeavor to do this

I’m going to start custom painting for automotive, what airbrush would you recommend ?

Just a quick question. I have always used a bottle-feed airbrush. I see a lot of people using the gravity feed instead. I change colors a lot so it seems like a gravity feed would waste more paint for each change. Am I wrong?

Being in America I wanted to stay with American brands if at all possible and both Paasche and Badger both still make their airbrushes here and they are widely recognized as two of the best brands in the world. I had purchased a Paasche Talon set that came with all three needle sets it can run because it was a little bit cheaper than the Badger I wanted but I ended up picking up the Badger Sotar 20/20 when that complete set went on sale and have since purchased a second Sotar Set to to have different brushes set up with different colors and/or different needle sets depending on what I was doing. I still use all three guns.

I recently began doing a lot of bigger pieces like scratch built scenery for tabletop gaming and diorama displays for some of my minis and wanted a trigger type gun to make the longer priming and painting sessions easier on my trigger finger. For some reason the American companies do not make such a gun so I went with the Iawata. No regrets there either.

As far as spending money for the sake of spending money I had the opportunity to buy a brand new Harder and Steenbeck Infinity at a store closeout for an insane discount and went for it. Save your wallet and don't buy one. It's not a bad airbrush but it is definitely not worth the ludicrous price they want for it if you pay full price. It only comes with one needle set and does not work any better than the Paasche Talon or Badger Sotar 20/20.

If you want to have a gun on your shelf that tells everyone that walks into your studio that you spent an absurd amount of money on your airbrush get the Harder and Steenbeck Infinity. If you want a gun that just works amazingly with readily available spare parts get the Paasche or Badger.

I have a cheap unbranded airbrush right now, and I'm going to upgrade very soon. I do scale models from 1/72 up to 1/32 in size. I found the Master Pro Plus kit that comes with 2 gravity feed cup sizes and 3 needle sizes; is the Master brand a good quality? Or would I be better off with a Badger Patriot 105 or Paasche TG-3AS? I'm looking for something that will last me awhile and can handle enamel, acrylic, and various enamel & acrylic based lacquers and varnishes.

Thank you for all of your videos. They are very helpful. I am a novice and would like some advice on the compressor that you should purchase. I am really at a loss as to what to look for in a compressor for this task.

I'm plastic modeller, making aircraft in 1/72 scale. I have a cheap, double action graphity AB. Cost me about 30, 00Euro and for the purpose I do, I think the AB works. Needle 0, 2 - 0, 3 & 0, 5mm. Maybe You can do some vids with Brett Green (HyperScale, Aus) to make airbrush for
