New Hazbin Hotel Season 2 Baxter Sneak peek

So today we got our first ever sneak peek of hazbin hotel season 2 where it reveals one of the hotel’s new guests, baxter. Credit to @levenister for the clip. I’ll play the footage and then discuss it after.

So that was pretty awesome. Firstly we got introduced to baxter, the mad scientist. For those who aren’t aware baxter was originally part of the main cast way back in the zoophobia era. He was also supposed to be in season 1 and would’ve had a rivalry with sir pentious, however ironically sir pentious ended up taking baxter’s role. I’ve always theorised that baxter is the one who helped sir pentious create his egg bois.

From the clip baxter is alot smaller than in the pilot era, but like we saw him in season 1 he’s very similar appearance wise.

From the sounds of his voice it reminds me alot of richard horvitz, however we don’t have confirmation on who voices baxter just yet. Personally i really like the voice and i think it fits him well.

What’s really cool is that baxter’s briefcase is alive and has a pair of legs and eyes resembling a crab. We can see his invention abilities on full display here, since he’s one of the few characters in the series that can create living things. It’ll be interesting to find out exactly how or why he invents these beings.

And lastly we saw vaggie and charlie being filmed by a bunch of news stations. So season 2 will pick off right from season 1 without a time skip i reckon. The hotel is likely famous because of the events of season 1, so a bunch of new sinners are heading to the hotel to try and get redeemed. I really hope we see a bunch of other sinners show up, like crymini.

I love how him getting mad at being 'belittled' isn't even because of her talking about his height, or lab coat. It's the fact she THOUGHT he was an inventor 😭

I mean, let's be honest, that's obviously Richard Horvitz's voice as Baxter. His voice is very iconic!

Unless Charlie herself has been informed by Emily somehow about the arrival of Sir Pentious in Heaven, Baxter's attitude towards redemption most likely shall remained the same until he experienced what Sir Pentious himself experienced.

the second i knew Pentious was gone and they were bringing in Baxter, i was worried they would be using him to replace Pentious in a way. instead, they're doing this. times better. god i love this show
