Malaysia VEP status update in Aug 2024. Malaysia Transport Minister had announced that Singaporean drivers entering Malaysia from 01 Oct 2024 needs VEP permits or risk being fined RM2000 and not allowed to exit Malaysia until fine is paid up. Here is the update on the VEP matters.

i applied for the VEP in April 24 and it was quite straightforward. It was also linked to E-wallet efficiently. Dont wait till the last minute to apply.

We can understand the frustration of our drivers and vehicle owners in regards to this issue. Firstly, accept my apology if I have to be a bit blunt here. It's ok to criticize the inefficiency of their registration system right now. So, just focus on that. Collate all the difficulties and issues faced at our end, that's it, hoping their Transport Ministry will pick up this broadcast. However, to go on personal attack, I think that is uncalled for. To say the person in-charge is "sleeping / tidur, selfish, don't want to do their job as long get paid monthly, buat bodoh, don't care, don't want to employ their IT graduates", all these are necessary remarks and baseless accusations, which can cause tension. Secondly, we don't teach them what to do, as if we are more expert than them. Let them decide. Afterall, it's their project. Worst case scenario, if this cannot be resolved by 1st Oct, Spore vehicles will not be entering Msia and indirectly, it will have an impact on their economy and tourism. Just my thought.

Like you say no U turn. Keep on turning VEP. Just Unless how the system is running. What can they achieve. Talk only want money but don't want to work

Why they want to help make it easy for you to register that cost $10 when they can collect $2000 later on if you still insist want to go in without VEP.

I have encounter three times years ago, when I finish stamp passport, , one specific barrier did not go up, but in order to let the barrier up. press Call button no use. car behind impatient, no choice use Tng card to pay, So i am making double payment as My VEP tag already deducted my credit card has made payment already link to TNG eWallet and vep tag, i also top up to R40, can refund if you prove all the receipt email to TNG, but troublesome, in the end, i used back TNG card with the white stick extender back for the last 4 years
