Thanks for posting this. I'm not a student of yours, but it was cool to see a summary of usefulness of CI. In your Motivation section, I would also add a level for Dependency Conflicts. This occurs when test or build failures occur when one part of your source code has a different dependency to external libraries compared to others. I've run into this at larger organizations where complete systems rely on modules, or subsystems, developed by disparate teams.
