Ok so it looks like door needs to be open to use this pull up bar? It looks like if door is close you will be hitting door as you are pulling up?? How far from wall is the bar? I wanna put it avobe garage door but don't wanna have that door open everytime I need to use it.

Does the blue Cerakote finish on the pull-up bar help soften the knurling so it doesn't rip into your skin so much like some people were complaining?

Overpriced crap, and you need to drill holes, no thanks. My $20 walmart pullup bar does the same thing and it's more versatile
