The same experiment would be interesting with a remote SDR that doesn't hear you so well. You might find the unprocessed ones can't be pulled out of the noise, while the processed ones can.

Nicely done Kyle! That approach is excellent for any rig. For Flex users, you can use Full Duplex (FDX) and listen to yourself on your own radio using low power into a dummy load. That is what I did to set my TX EQ. 73, Len, KD0RC

Kyle, this was great. I am glad to see you using the online SDR and hopefully more hams will do the same to check their audio instead of relying on what their friends think. We all hear differently and our radios, speakers and any inline EQ's are also all different so when someone says you need to EQ your settings, it may be due to one of these reasons and not actually your TX audio. The online SDR is a great tool for this reason. 73

Great video Kyle. This is on my to-do list for tomorrow. I wonder how much difference mics and mixer would make? I'm using the rode wireless pro lav mic for streaming and radio-ing, both coming out of the rode mixer. THanks dude!

Good Idea! I usually get good unsolicited audio reports in the midst of a pile up so I figure I must be doing something right. I am using an ic-7300 with a bit of compression using Heil Proset ic headset with boom mic. Settings I got straight from Heil. But I would like to hear it for myself. Especially at different distances. I have had the radio since 2015 and just figured out it will do 10 and 6m that anyone does those modes around here. So i am sure there are other things i am missing that might be useful.
