I loved my ap1 s2000 so much. Engine is incredible obviously, chassis is incredibly stiff, and the double wishbone suspension front and back made it handle like a dream. I did track days with it while it was bone stock with just upgraded tires. We need companies to go back to making lightweight sports cars instead of having the horsepower version of a space race. Who cares if a model gains 150hp if it gains a whole 1000 lbs with it

Honda needs to come out with a new version....keep the high revving engine, manual transmission, and upgrade the HP. Add a removable hard top too.

The s2000 driver was most likely short shifting, too.
It revs higher than you'd think.

Except an S2000 in 2000, in todays dollars is about 50k. An 86 premium msrps for 31ish? For 20k cheaper it's equally fast. Not bad.

The gr86 is a sporty car, but a real sports car. The S is a pure bred sports car, and a roadster, and at the time it beat out Porsche and BMW at a significantly lower price point.
