Good, this is the right thing to do. They failed to keep the firearm safely stored and someone was nearly killed, so charges are the least they can do. The victim should also sue the parents as well.

Finally some one is going to be accountable for this avoidable action. It all starts at home. How did this boy 6 years of age get a hold of the gun? Their is no explanation period. The parents need to be held accountable she got a lawyer a long time ago because she knew ultimately this case was going to be handed over to a grand jury and she will be indicted down the road.
