The Biggest Exoplanets vs Sun vs Jupiter: Size Comparison (2024)

🌟 Size Comparison between the Biggest exoplanets discovered by 2023, our Sun and Jupiter

❓ How do astronomers measure the size of planets or exoplanets?
📖 There are several ways that planetary diameters can be measured. The most common is to measure the apparent angular diameter of the planet – how big it looks against the sky – very precisely using a telescope. Combining this with a measure of its distance (deduced from its orbit around the Sun) reveals the planet’s actual size. Another method involves studying the motion of moons as they eclipse the planet. Some accurate values of diameter, for example for Venus, come from radar observations from space probes in orbit.

⚠️ UPDATE ON FEBRUARY 2024
▪️ There's a lot of conspiracies around the possibility of planet existing, so it's still UNCF. But I found out that some blind bozo put KIC 10735564 b's size as 70, 205.144 km or 0.491 Rj on Space Wiki | Fandom (plus: 2.3 years orbital period), misunderstanding it with KIC 10525077 b (also has 0.491 Rj and 2.3 years orbital period)
❗ So, KIC 10735564 b's **confirmed** size is still unknown...
