Periodic maintenance schedule. Wood stove chimney sweep, wood boiler creosote cleanout, forced air filters, hose repair /gasket replacement, blade sharpening, oil changes and greasing fittings on tractor, splitter, Sally and the bikes, annual inspection and maintenance on AC and water pump system, filter clean / change on cold bot. You need to schedule several hours a week for jobs you can do yourself and hire the rest out. I will save you time and stress in the long run.

When sharpening the chain saw blade...please use safety glasses. If the stone is hit wrong it could explode and when sharpening you could get metal dust in your eye. Safety first.

I've mentioned this before you have to wear eye protection when grinding the blades. I'm not trying to be a safety sally here - I've personally had to go to the eye doctor to remove a piece of metal from my eye. - please put some goggles or better yet a face shield near the grinder.

Justin, parents get busy with 10 different things going at once, but please hang a pair of safety glasses by the saw sharpener so the boys can protect their eyes. Josiah is eye level to that and the sparks. Could cause trouble.

One day of rest a week- such an important principle for a life well lived. Good for you! also, by the time Lilly is ready for her first horse she will have earned it- she is amazing to see all the chores, milking, moving sheep, let alone hauling brush, which is the unglamorous part of clearing property. ( She could handle a chain saw by the way)

I ordered an got a Nourishing Traditions delivered all the way to South Africa a couple years ago and have read it from cover to cover .... more than once. Amazing book. And the eggs were still in the one corner of the high tunnel, Gideon has to step up his game ;-)

Yay, you got the breeder pigs into the high tunnel! Too bad Lucky is getting a bit harder to start. Yay, the wood boiler is working! At least you can see if it's truly fixed. The ash Mark pulled out of there was impressive! Great job clearing the 1300 sq. ft.! The ice cream looked delicious! Yum, fish and rice. That was cute seeing Gideon move his train at the end. Thanks for this Rhodes family! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Buy some safety glasses for this kids! If that disk on the Chain sharpener is damaged it will fly apart like a grenade and is right at eye level.

I'm happy to see Rhodes family back on your target again, it's a balancing challenge. Here in CA a dozen eggs sells for 10 to 12 dollars, it is alarming to think of the excess eggs getting frozen at your farm. Glad the blessing of heat is worked out (the men who help support your homestead are priceless values).Thank you for giving an excellent example of time management under stress. You make it look easy Justin, but in reality it isn't. Very good team effort! 😍❤️🙏

You need diesel fuel conditioner for cold weather, and pre heat the glow plugs on an diesel engine. Run your water hose inside of 1 1/2" plastic tubing and the dog can't chew the hose.

Pyrenees are notorious for chewing, especially till they are 3 years old. We had ours chew up our line from the spring!! 300 ft of water hose. looked like a sprinkler hose.

Where are your guys that sold and installed all of your wood burner? What if you turned it all off.. let the fire go out, clean everything out and then start over? Total reboot and clean out.
