I am 13, gonna be 14 in 2 months. My channel is all about wrestling, not like WWE style wrestling but school wrestling (Real Wrestling). My full length matches usually get between 100 and 300 views, I understand that, not everyone watches full long matches. I'd like to get those views up but my it seems like my "how to" videos get way more views so it seems like that is where I can build upon. My question to everyone is this: I have one video that hit 299K views, but my next highest is only like 30K, why? The one at 299 doesn't have some super thumbnail, or anything special, its actually kinda random that it hit that many views. My main goal in life is to wrestle through high-school, hopefully college, and then fight in MMA, the ufc is the goal. My point of saying that is I don't wanna just make videos to get monetized, I wanna build a brand in wrestling (which is niche I know, but a growing niche). Any help or ideas would be awesome, ty.

I've had this (and other channels) for over ten years but only started considering doing it seriously since August. In October I then started creating content consistently. I'm less than 100 watch hours from the first level of monetization.

I've made money in other ways but not from YouTube from this channel. I'm excited to be so close to having more options.

That sounds fast to me, but I will say it took me the first year just to figure out how to make a halfway decent video. I am now in year four and beginning to make some resources, but it’s not sustainable yet. I’m beginning to see where I can improve some things, but I think with the current Competition, it’s gonna take some time before I’m able to do the type of numbers that would be considered full-time.
