Do Stanley Fatmax Batteries Fit DeWALT? (& Vice Versa!)

Stanley Fatmax power tools and DeWALT are both owned by the Stanley Black & Decker company. This might lead you to believe that Stanley Fatmax batteries will fit DeWALT tools and DeWALT batteries might fit Fatmax tools. But is this true?

Let's have a look and see if the is any compatibility between Stanley Fatmax V20 power tools and DeWALT power tools.

I just want help anyone out here looking for an adapter. The Stanley Fatmax tool line is identical to the US' Craftsman V20 line with all the tools being exactly the same with a different color plastic. This means that that batteries are interchangeable and better yet the adapters. So if you are looking for an adapter online and cant find one just exchange your "Blank to Stanley Fatmax" for " Blank to Craftsman" this may also work for tools that each other line doesnt have.

Had a try with any of the adapters between these two? Mistakenly bought a Fatmax V20 tool today (the 18v, li-on, cordless and similar yellow colouring caught me out) - tempted to try an adapter so I can stick with my XR batteries and charger, rather than diversifying…

Good video. The toolboxes work together though.. I'd be interested to see how the Stanley tools perform as I have dewalt tools, but have Stanley toolboxes/workwear and the quality on those is better than dewalt.

they don’t fit because they want you to have to buy more battery’s, extra tools and chargers .. But it would’ve been extremely easy to make um so they could do that

What I'm interested in is the internals... Do they just soccer the same internals into different mouldings?

The same company owns Stanley and DeWalt, plus Black & Decker at the entry level light home DIY end.
Much like GM owns Chevy as the mid range and Cadillac as the high end.

Is there any difference inside those battery cases is what I'd like to know...
