U can actually use still use the usb port and have slimmer form factor, by using a single port, not the stacked one used by default. And if u add a cable u can event put it where u like. e.g. if u plan to make a custom enclosure to it.

Hmm this is kinda what the cm4 and cm5 are for but cool nonetheless
